White Plains Man Cuffed After Walking Out of Macy's With Quilt: Cops

Man caught by employees, faces petty larceny charges, police say.

A city resident was arrested by local cops and charged with petty larceny after snagging a $500 quilt set at Macy's and walking out the door without paying, police said.

The man—a 36-year-old Post Road resident—was spotted by employees stealing a Ralph Lauren Comforter set last Friday, April 5 at 2:24 p.m, police said. The Macy's staff phoned police, who arrested the man, transported him to headquarters and held him for court.
