The 22-story tower is one of three on Kent Avenue that Spitzer Engineering has built after buying the land near North Eighth Street for $16 million in 2015. The buildings have floor-to-ceiling corner windows in 80 percent of the apartments that look over the Williamsburg Bridge, the East River and northern Brooklyn.
Residents will have access to two rooftops pools, roof terraces, a beach volleyball court and a private park, according to the 420 Kent website.
The public will have access to a 400-foot waterfront walkway that runs between the development and the East River.
The 420 Kent building also joins several other Williamsburg developments currently on the city's affordable housing lottery list.
Just last month, three other buildings in the neighborhood landed on the list.
Two of those buildings, one at 123 Hope Street and another known as the Ainslie Tower, are still up for grabs. 41 units at the Hope Street building are available and six at the Ainslie Tower building, which is found at 467 Keap Street.
The most affordable options between those two are at the Ainslie Tower. This building has three $1,058 per month one-bedroom apartments and three $1,280 per month two-bedroom apartments up for grabs for those making 60 percent of the area median income.
At Hope Street, studio, one bedroom and two-bedroom apartments are available for those making 80 percent the area median income or those making 100 percent the area median income.
