Blind Man Hit By G Train in Brooklyn
MTA officials say the man walked off the Church Avenue platform, got hit by the G Train — and survived.

A northbound G Train pulling into the Church Avenue station in Kensington, Brooklyn, around 4 p.m. on Wednesday hit a blind man who had fallen onto the tracks.
“A blind male stepped right off the platform and ended up on the tracks,“ MTA spokesperson Amanda Kwan said. “The train did strike him, and he did survive.”
NYC Scanner, a Twitter account that tracks NYPD scanners, reported that power was shut off to the train as emergency responders pulled the victim from the tracks.

The MTA could not immediately provide the victim’s identity, age or the severity of his injuries. Neither could the fire department. However, an FDNY spokesperson said the victim was transported to Lutheran Medical Center in Sunset Park.
Wednesday’s rush-hour accident caused delays on all northbound F and G Trains south of the Church stop.
