VIDEO: Bull That Ran Through Brooklyn Finds Freedom At New Jersey Sanctuary
You're free now, Shankar.

BROOKLYN, NY — The escaped bull that ran through the streets of Brooklyn before being captured on a Prospect Park soccer field has been moved to a sanctuary in New Jersey.
Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue in Wantage is the new home of the bull which was first spotted Tuesday morning in the South Slope, ran through Windsor Terrace and Kensington and put up an impressive last stand against police officers at the Parade Ground.
Here's a video of the bull, who apparently is now named Shankar, enjoying a tranquil life of hay and grass, surely more enjoyable than the mean streets of South Brooklyn:

While the bull looks to be at peace in the video above, the sanctuary's owner says that hasn't always been the case.

"He's being a maniac," founder and president Mike Stura told Gothamist. "He's healthy but he's definitely a wild man. He's got a lot of energy, I'll tell you that."
That's how he looked like on Tuesday as he defiantly trotted around the borough and eventually the soccer field as officers tried to corral him:
