Cab Driver Robbed at Gunpoint in Sunset Park

Police are asking for the public's help locating the suspect connected to Tuesday's incident.

Police in the 66th Precinct are asking for the public's help finding a suspect who robbed a cab driver at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon in Sunset Park.

According to police, the suspect climbed into a livery cab at 366 41st St. around 1:30 p.m., and asked to be taken to 54th Street between 9th Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway. Upon arriving, video surveillance from inside the cab (posted at right) shows the suspect jamming a black gun into the driver's ribs and demanding that he hand over his cell phone and money, which he did. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a white man between 18 and 23-years-old. He stands around 5-foot-10 and weighs roughly 180 pounds, and was wearing red shorts, a white t-shirt and black baseball cap baring the Brooklyn logo.
