City Announces Bike Share Locations

There's been much ado lately about the city's new , and now the Department of Transportation has released a draft map of where exactly the 10,000 "Citi Bikes" will likely be located.  

The good news is that Brooklyn netted a significant portion of the roughly 600 stations to be installed across the city, with more to come in Park Slope, Cobble Hill, Prospect Heights and Crown Heights.

The less awesome news for residents of Windsor Terrace and Kensington is that while the stations are many, they exist in a tightly packed area across northern Brooklyn, with none even near the periphery of Prospect Park—at least not yet. This means you'll have to take either the subway or bus if you want to rent a ride, which would create an irony so palpable it would rip the fabric of space-time.
