Create Murals, Mobiles and More at Greenwood Playground
Friends of Greenwood Playground has another round of great summer activities to keep the kids away from the iPad.

Continuing their trend of awesome summer programing, Friends of Greenwood Playground will host a free arts workshop on July 10, instructing your young Alexander Calder in the ways of making mobiles, collages and sidewalk-chalk murals.
Held in partnership with Private Picassos, which specializes in art instruction for especially young learners, the 45-minute workshop will guide children ages 3 to 5-years-old in making their own clay and wire mobile sculptures and circus-themed sidewalk chalk murals.
Thanks to fundraising efforts by FoGP, the session is free, an especially large plus for kids who aren't attending pricey day camps this summer.

Because space for the workshop is limited—the session can hold between 12 and 15 kids—it's essential that parents register online beforehand by emailing info@privatepicassos.com with the following information:
- Child's name
- Child's age
- Parent or caregiver name
- Parent or caregiver email address
The workshop will take place on July 10 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Participants should meet in the park by the flag pole.

FoGP is also looking for volunteers to join its core group, which currently consists of a scant two or three members, down from its usual five or six.
Interested in helping out? A FoGP meeting is scheduled to be held on July 8. Email greenwoodfriendsfunds@gmail.com for more information.
Greenwood Playground is located on East 5th Street between Fort Hamilton Parkway and Greenwood Avenue.
