General Responsibilities:
• Alert Director if any kind of abuse/neglect of a child is suspected.
• Responsible for all recreational activities, with the only exception being homework
• To ensure daily and safe arrival of participants.
• Provide a warm and welcoming facility where children can feel safe and nurtured.
• Communicate with After School Program staff in order to keep them alert of After School Program regulations or changes
• Ensure all unusual or erratic behavior is reported
• Reinforce desirable behavior, not focusing on disruptive behavior so that all participants feel part of the program.
• Provide guidance for all activities that stimulate mind and body development.
• Implement, schedule, and monitor all recreational activities
• Participate in all activities and enrichment programs with the participants.
• Respond to parent/guardian concerns regarding children and staff
• Speak with parents that may have potential complaints or questions and resolve issues
• Maintains bus schedule for trips, pick-ups and drop-offs
• Communicate with staff throughout the Y to accomplish given tasks
• Speak with parents that may have potential complaints or questions and resolve issues
• Prepare and set up 30-60minute activities for children within program on a daily basis
• Submit activity curriculum and supply list to Supervisory staff 1 week in advance.
• Must be able to market program
