Join A Dance Party, Learn Tai Chi This Week in Windsor Terrace-Kensington

What's happening this week in Windsor Terrace-Kensington.

1. Meet with current and prospective members of It Takes A Village, a nonprofit community playspace in Crown Heights where local families come together and get to know each other. Tuesday, 8 p.m. – It Takes A Village, 500 Prospect Place (at Classon Avenue).

2. Learn Tai Chi fundamentals and a short beginner form in this ongoing weekly class. Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. Brooklyn Arts Exchange, 421 5th Ave.

3. Selena Coppock, author of the hilarious “The New Rules for Blondes,” guest stars at this monthly storytelling open-mic show. Hosts Susan Kent and Victoria Scroggins invite audience members to drop their name in the can for a chance to share a true tale onstage. No paper, no props. Thursday, 7:30 p.m. Bar 4, 444 Seventh Avenue.

4. See the Yellow Sneaker puppet sing-along, a 45-minute interactive sing-along with guitar and puppets, with a combo of original songs, oldies, and traditional children's music. Thursday, 3 p.m. It Takes A Village, 500 Prospect Place (at Classon Avenue).

5. Head to Camp Friendship for a three-hour dance party. Live music will be provided by the folk band ContraForce. General admission is $15 and student tickets are $12. Saturday, 7:30 p.m. Camp Friendship, 339 Eighth Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenue.
