Open House at Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace

After a busy few months filled with summer camp, the folks at Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace are plowing straight into the new school year, starting with an open house on Sept. 9. 

The open house will not only give prospective members an opportunity to learn about available classes, but a glimpse at Y staff doing what they do best: working with people.

"We have instructors come in and do a demo class of something they're doing, whether it's baby sign language or pilates," said Site Supervisor Nadira Persaud.

She added that those who attend the open house will be eligible for class discounts, as well as have the chance to meet the entire Y staff. 

"We fill up the entire space, we have themes, we have activities for the kids, we do arts and crafts and we have a room full of information with all our programs," she said. "[People] get to actually see us in action."

The open house will be held on Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace is located at 1224 Prospect Ave.
