Reduced Parking Regulations Enter Second Stage in Community Board 7
Alternate side parking will be suspended in parts of Windsor Terrace for around six weeks.
The city will soon enter the second phase of lowering alternate side parking regulations in Windsor Terrace, Sunset Park and Greenwood Heights.
Starting on June 25, alternate side parking will be suspended on certain streets for around six weeks as the city of lowering parking restrictions from twice a week to once per week.
The change will impact the following areas (see the map posted at right):

- North: 15th Street (included) from Hamilton Avenue to 4th Avenue.
- East: 4th Avenue (not included) from 15th Street to 65th Street.
- South: 65th Street (not included) from 4th Avenue to the Bulkhead.
- West: The Bulkhead from 65th Street to 15th Street.
And on July 2, new street cleaning regulations for the following streets will go into effect (see map posted at right):
- North: 15th Street (included) from 4th Avenue to Prospect Park West. Prospect Park Southwest (included) from Prospect Park West to Park Circle. Coney Island Avenue (not included) from Park Circle to Caton Avenue.
- East: Caton Avenue (not included) from Coney Island Avenue to Fort Hamilton Parkway. Fort Hamilton Parkway (not included) from Caton Avenue to 37th Street. 37th Street (not included) from Fort Hamilton Parkway to 8th Avenue. 8th Avenue (included) from 37th Street to 61st Street.
- South: Long Island Railroad Cut from 8th Avenue to 5th Avenue. 65th Street (not included) from 5th Avenue to 4th Avenue.
- West: 4th Avenue (included) from 65th Street to 15th Street.
The reduced cleaning schedule comes at the request of Community Board 7, which, according to a release from the Department of Transportation, was the first community board to take advantage of legislation passed by the city council in 2011 allowing communities with especially clean streets to reduce the number of times per week they're cleaned.
