The Early Word: 'Green Beans Not Walgreens' Has New Online Home

What you need to know, pre-coffee.

1. Local Walgreens opposition has officially united under a new identity and website: Green Beans Not Walgreens, named for the chant heard at the held earlier this month, is the new online gathering space for Windsor Terrace residents enraged by news that Walgreens will be taking over the former Key Food building on Prospect Avenue. Check it out.

2. The hotly anticipated has installed nifty-looking signage in front of its new space at 154 Prospect Park Southwest. Take a look on the store's Facebook page.

3. There are two cool events going down at Greenwood Playground today:

Art of Parenting will host Wild and Crazy Puppets from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Free for all ages. Meet at the flagpole.

Also at 10 a.m., kids ages 8 and up are invited to join local author Jen Nails to whip up some creative writing with Stories and Squirts. Bring a pencil and a notebook, and meet at the chess tables. Free.
