What you need to know, pre-coffee.

1. Prospect Park turned off the sprinkler at its Imagination Playground yesterday for plumbing work, but never fear—park officials expect that it will be back on today.

2. Pavilion Theater has some shots of its new interior renovation posted on its Facebook page. What do you think? Lookin' good, or as grungy as ever?

3. Only two more weeks to ride Prospect Park's 100-year-old carousel on Thursdays for free! Open from 12 to 6 p.m. for more information.

4. Not in the neighborhood, but cool enough to note: Bicycle enthusiast and former Talking Head David Byrne designed the new bike racks at Fort Greene's Brooklyn Academy of Music, which, according to the blog Brokelyn, spell out the words "pink crown." Pretty nifty.

5. Alternate side parking rules are in effect today.
