Weekend Weather: Yep, It's Still Summer

Yes, it's summer, but this being New York, there's no telling what the wily weather will do over the weekend.

Poor weather is nearly guaranteed in the winter months, but we'd hate for you to make extensive beach plans, only to see them cancelled by an unexpected thunderstorm.

So each week this summer, Patch will keep you abreast of the weather with information from the National Weather Service.

Friday: Friday's weather will be mostly sunny, with highs in the blistering low 90s. The evening will bring some clouds and a low of 74. 

Saturday: The temperature will cool slightly today, with the highs hitting a modest 88 degrees and the sun expected to be out in force. Possible evening showers, with the low again dipping down to 74 degrees. 

Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms are increasingly likely on Sunday, especially after noon. The skies will be mostly cloudy with a high near 88 degrees. Thunderstorms are even more likely into evening, mainly after midnight. Prepare for gusty winds and heavy rainfall, with lows in the high 70s.
