"Green Beans Not Walgreens," the rallying cry that inspired a , has yet to be heard by Walgreens execs, but it has piqued the interest of another influential set of ears: the editors of the L Magazine.
In its "Best of Brooklyn" issue, the trendy Brooklyn culture mag decreed "Green Beans Not Walgreens" the best grassroots movement of them all, despite stiff competition from a borough renowned for its political activism. (See: , the )
"Their group was formed to make sure that the cause will continue even as the initial furor fades," reads the magazine's description.
