3 Break-Ins Reported In Cornelius This Week: Police Blotter

Break-ins were reported at a home, at Habitat for Humanity and in a vehicle, Cornelius Police Department said.

CORNELIUS, NC — Three people were arrested this week in Cornelius and now face charges that include possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, resisting an officer and obtaining property by false pretense, according to the most recent police blotter.

Break-ins were reported at a home, at Habitat for Humanity and in a vehicle, Cornelius Police Department said.

Cornelius police cited more than 60 individuals for infractions that included speeding, expired registration, and failing to carry a valid driver's license.

Cornelius Police Department made the following arrests between Aug. 18 - Aug 24, 2021:

  • Jefferson Martinez, 19, was arrested Aug. 19 on Torrence Chapel Road, charged with misdemeanor possession marijuana paraphernalia, and misdemeanor possession marijuana up to ½ oz.
  • Arnold Chinchilla, 18, was arrested Aug. 19 on Torrence Chapel Road, charged with misdemeanor possession marijuana paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession marijuana up to ½ oz and misdemeanor resisting a public officer.
  • David Webb, 36, was arrested Aug 20 on Statesville Road, charged with felony obtaining property by false pretense and misdemeanor possession of stolen goods/property.
