3 Vehicles Stolen In Cornelius This Week: Police Blotter
Officers in Cornelius wrote nearly three dozen tickets for the same infraction this week. Here's a rundown of crime reported around town.
CORNELIUS, NC — Seven people were arrested this week in Cornelius and now face charges that include possession of a controlled substance, communicating threats, and numerous counts of breaking into cars, according to the most recent police blotter.
Three vehicles were stolen this week, a vehicle was broken into and four cases of larceny were reported, Cornelius Police Department said.
Cornelius police cited more than 30 drivers and two boaters for speeding this week.

Cornelius Police Department made the following arrests between Aug. 4 - Aug 10, 2021:
- Amy Funk, 46, was arrested Aug. 6 on West Catawba Avenue, charged with DWLR Not impaired Revoked.
- Courtney Ruth Honeycutt, 44, was arrested Aug. 6 on Henderson Road, charged with felony assault by strangulation.
- Cameron Regnard Stewart, 31, was arrested Aug. 8 on Potts Street, charged with felony possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, misdemeanor injury to personal property, and misdemeanor larceny.
- Sean Michael Wilcox, 21, was arrested Aug. 9 on Torrence Chapel Road, charged with misdemeanor carrying concealed weapon, misdemeanor communicating threats, misdemeanor resisting public officer
- Andrew Davonte Higgins, 27, was arrested Aug. 9 on Viewpoint Lane, charged with misdemeanor assault on a female.
- Darrin Bernard Washington, 32, was arrested Aug. 9 on Catawba Avenue, charged with three counts of felony breaking or entering of a motor vehicle, felony larceny of a firearm, and two counts of misdemeanor larceny.
- Alexander Lars Whitworth, 30, was arrested Aug. 10 on Market Street, charged with misdemeanor assault on a female.
