8 Arrests In Cornelius: Trespassing, Assault With A Deadly Weapon

CORNELIUS, NC — Police in Cornelius made eight arrests this week for charges including assault on a female, trespassing, and contributing to a delinquency of a juvenile.

Six drivers were also cited for either driving faster than 80 mph or 15 mph over the posted speed limit.

Officers with Cornelius Police Department issued 48 citations last week, including four for expired registration or tags and two for failing to yield while making a left turn.

CPD received eight crime incident reports last week. They included:

• July 1 — Fraud, 17110 Kenton Drive
• July 2 — Breaking and entering a vehicle, 18020 Old Statesville Road
• July 2 — Fraud, 18124 Harbor Mist Road
• July 2 — Fraud, 19516 Smith Circle
• July 4 — Larceny, 20740 Torrence Chapel Road
• July 4 — Larceny of a vehicle, 18615 Statesville Road (Modern Nissan)
• July 6 — Breaking and entering commercial, 18059 West Catawba Ave. (Pho Nam)
• July 7 — Larceny, 19708 W. Catawba Avenue
