Cornelius Kickstarts Pedestrian Protection Program
Cornelius is working to raise awareness to protect pedestrians.
CORNELIUS, NC — Cornelius wants to ensure that pedestrians in the town are safe, and starting Wednesday, a local campaign is aimed at doing just that.
The campaign is called "Heads Up Cornelius" and the tagline "Your Streets. Your Town. Your Responsibility."
The town calls the matter an "urgent priority" to protect pedestrians and cyclists, especially as the Lake Norman area grows and more people are taking advantage of those outdoor activities.
