Cornelius Set To Approve New Noise Ordinance
The step comes after complaints about a local business.
CORNELIUS, NC — The Town of Cornelius is likely to formally approve a new noise ordinance Tuesday night.
According to the agenda, the town will be revising the noise ordinance to match others in the state from 90 to 85 decibels during normal business hours (10 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday) as well as 75 to 60 decibels in the overnight hours.
The change comes after three months of work and numerous complaints about live music at Boat Yard.
