A pair of thieves was caught on camera Thursday while stealing beer and sodas at a Cornelius Circle K, say police.

CORNELIUS, NC — The Cornelius Police Department is asking for the public's help in tracking down two people who stole beer and sodas Thursday from a local convenience store. The police on Friday released surveillance photos of the two, identified as a white male and a white female, and the car they were driving.

At 3 p.m. Thursday, the Cornelius police received a call for help involving a larceny at the Circle K on West Catawba Avenue. The two individuals were spotted inside the store and made off with four 18-packs of beer and two 12-packs of Mountain Dew, the police said.

They left the Circle K and got into an older model, black Mazda Protégé displaying an unreadable, temporary 30-day tag.
