Murder, Drug Possession, DWI: 6 Arrests In Cornelius This Week

CORNELIUS, NC — Six people were arrested this week in Cornelius and now face charges that include murder, possession of a controlled substance, assault, driving while impaired and breaking and entering, according to the most recent police blotter.

Three vehicles were stolen this week, two vehicles were broken into, and breaking and entering reports were made at a home and bank, Cornelius Police Department said.

Cornelius police cited two dozen drivers for speeding this week.

Cornelius Police Department made the following arrests between Aug. 11 - Aug 17, 2021:

• Carneal S Robinson, 33, was arrested Aug. 11 on Jetton Road, charged with misdemeanor assault on a female and misdemeanor communicating threats.
• Reed F. Flierl, 49, was arrested Aug. 12 on Catawba Avenue, charged with driving while impaired.
• Zachary A Carlson, 28, was arrested Aug. 14 on Torrence Chapel Road, charged with driving while impaired.
• Kimberly J. Delfosse, 57, was arrested Aug. 14 on School Street, charged with misdemeanor simple assault.
• Joseph D. Wells, 38, was arrested Aug. 17 on School Street, charged with felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, felony larceny, two counts of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor resisting public officer.
• Rymyr D Quarles, 22, was arrested Aug. 13 on Harbor Landing Drive, charged with felony murder.
