Fall is here and there are heaps of events around Lake Norman. Here's a list of upcoming events in Cornelius, Davidson and Huntersville.

CORNELIUS, NC β€” Crisp temperatures and falling leaves usher in a new season around Lake Norman, and despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, there are plenty of fall events to look forward to in the region in October.

The month also marks a loosening of some restrictions around the state. Gov. Roy Cooper announced a new executive order Wednesday that allows some outdoor and entertainment venues to reopen later this week. Under a new executive order, movie theaters, outdoor stadiums and amusement parks will be allowed to open with limited capacity. The new "Phase 3" restrictions will go into effect Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. and remain in effect through Oct. 23.
