• New development group takes over Alexander Farms (corneliustoday.com) — A long-stalled piece of the Alexander Farms project is finally moving forward, with a new development group that includes Cornelius residents taking over the 16-acre commercial section. Plans call for a grocery-anchored center, medical offices, restaurants, and retail, plus a new public park and walking trail that will connect directly to Cornelius greenways. Residential phases are underway, with River Rock Manor expected by summer 2027.
