Davidson College To Require Vaccinations For Students, Staff
Davidson College said students, faculty and staff at high risk for transmission have until Aug. 15 to get their first COVID vaccination.
DAVIDSON, NC β Davidson College is now requiring all students, faculty and staff who participate in activities that are considered high-risk for transmission of COVID-19 to get vaccinated.
The college said it also intends to require everyone in its community to be vaccinated when the vaccine has full FDA approval later this year.
"More vaccinated people on campus means fewer potential outbreaks," the school said in a statement, WSOC reported.

According to the new policy, staff, students and faculty members participating in high-risk activities have until Aug. 15 to get their first shot. Proof of full vaccination must be submitted to the school by Oct. 1.
The college said examples of high-risk activities include activities that require very close contact with others for an extended period of time, such as in dining services; strenuous indoor activity, such as singing in chorale, playing an instrument in an ensemble, dance, or working out; and participation in intercollegiate, club and intramural athletics.
