DAVIDSON, NC β€” Due to the statewide burn ban, Davidson is imploring people not to burn and risk a fire that could threaten the area. This comes on the heels of the Pilot Mountain Fire which has claimed about 1,000 acres so far and is human-caused.

β€œDue to the extremely dry conditions in our area, we’re at an increased risk for wildfire activity,” said Davidson Fire Chief Ryan Monteith. β€œWith a statewide burn ban, the goal is that fewer fires will start and spread uncontrollably. Our primary concern is the safety of the residents of Davidson and the fire department will do everything possible to protect lives, property, and the natural assets in our community.”

Davidson Fire provided this list to clarify any questions.
