DAVIDSON, NC — The Town of Davidson is providing free 30-gallon paper bags to residents for leaf pick-up. Free Kraft bags will be available at the Davidson Public Works facility (206 Potts Street) on both Saturday, December 11 and Saturday, December 18 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Paper bags are a sustainable option to collecting leaves because plastic does not degrade for decades.

Residents not able to pick up bags on those dates can visit Davidson Town Hall (216 S. Main Street) December 13-17 during normal business hours. Bags will be located on the table in the atrium entryway. Additional bags will also be available at Parks & Recreation booth at the Davidson Farmer’s Market on Saturday, December 11, where residents will also have a chance to learn about composting.
