Movie Set In Davidson Set To Premiere Saturday: How To Watch
The non-profit film, "An Angel Whispers," was filmed at several locations throughout Davidson. Here's how you can watch it.
DAVIDSON, NC — A new film filmed entirely in the Lake Norman region, including numerous locations in Davidson is set to premiere Saturday, Jan. 23.
"An Angel Whispers" is a community not-for-profit production "weaving in all aspects of our community," said its director Ben Allison.
"Considering this period of uncertainty and sadness we're all going through, this is the type of story we all need right now," Allison said. "Stories about hope, inspiration, and the power of community help lift our collective spirits."

Allison graduated from Davidson College in 2011 and currently lives in Cornelius, where he runs a video production company.

"We shot the film locally because Lake Norman was the perfect setting to tell the story and also to keep it a community based production," he told Patch.
For locals, the backdrop of the movie will be familiar. Scenes were filmed at Davidson College Presbyterian Church, the Soda Shop on Main Street, Lake Norman Christian School, Mount Zion Methodist Church. Scenes were also shot on a farm called Redlair, which is part of the Catawba Lands Conservancy, Allison said.
"An Angel Whispers" will be released Jan. 23 at 8 p.m., and may be viewed here.
