The partnership will provide free or discounted rides to communities in 31 states and the District of Columbia. People scheduling vaccinations at participating Harris Teeter locations will receive a Lyft ride code with their appointment confirmation that will cover about $12 per ride to and from the appointment for both one- and two-dose vaccinations, Lyft officials said.

"Access to reliable transportation represents a major barrier to care for millions of Americans across the country, especially for vulnerable communities," Lyft Vice President of Healthcare Megan Callahan said. "We're proud to partner with Harris Teeter to address transportation barriers that will support equitable vaccine access for those who need it most."
