
Fayetteville Academy Chorus Performs at Methodist University            Monday, May 13, at 6:30 p.m., the Lower School Chorus, Junior Varsity Chorus, and Varsity Chorus will be performing at Methodist University Reeves Auditiorium. The public is invited to attend.
Board of Education Meeting
The Cumberland County Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will begin with a public forum session and will take place in the Board Room of the Central Services building, located at 2465 Gillespie Street. During the recognition’s portion of the meeting the following individuals or groups will be acknowledged by the Board: April’s ‘Amazing Acts of Character’ recipients, local NCPTA Reflections Art Program winner, Operation Round-Up Grant recipients, and the Seventy-First Classical Middle School Quiz Bowl Team.
Fort Bragg Installation Awards Ceremony                                           Fort Bragg’s Civilian Personnel Advisory Center will host its 23rd annual Installation Awards ceremony May 16 to recognize Department of Defense (civilian and military) employees for their contributions to the installation.  All Fort Bragg employees are encouraged to attend the ceremony which will take place at 1 p.m., at the Pope Theater.

Tiger Paw Mentoring Program                                                             Awards Banquet on Friday,May 17, 2013. The event will be held at Sunnyside Elementary School,  3876 Sunnyside School Rd. The founder, Jermain Stearns, has created an iconic program that solidifies academic attitude and performance while cultivating personal growth and creativity. It's design is to continue to develop young men who are disciplined, intellectually astute and morally wise. The program's posture includes a committed environment conducive for achievement, character, strength and fortitude.Â
Bike Show/Rally                                                                                  Come out on Saturday, May 18 to help raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network. All bikes and cages are welcome. Stand by for more details as they develop. The bike show registration will be at 10:00am and the contest begins at 12:00 pm sharp. Cost to enter your bike is $20.00. There will be food and drinks for sale by Walmart associates. The proceeds will also go to the Children's Miracle Network.
