5 Things This Week

Mark your calendars

1. Business After Hours: Cape Fear Regional Theater, Thursday, Jan. 24, 5:30 to 7p.m. Attendance at Business After Hours is free, however our guests have a special opportunity to see the preview performance of Legally Blonde.

Our guests can take advantage of special ticket prices of $10 for the 7:30 pm performance of Legally Blonde following Business After Hours (based on availability). Attendees, must reserve your seats by calling Janis Long in the CFRT Box Office at 323-4233.

2. Fort Bragg's Throckmorton Library has partnered with Parent to Parent to offer a workshop for parents and teens about preparing for college when in the military, specifically the financial aid aspect on Thursday January 24th from 5:30-6:30. This is something that the parent must attend with the teen. Parents will learn what they must do to apply for financial aid, how to prepare documentation, how to apply for residency if out of state, etc. Lots of great information! The great part is that it is going to be focused on the aspects that many military families struggle with when trying to get their teen ready for college. Please call 396-2665 for more information.

3. Business Connections Series: Taxes and Workers' Compensation Insurance, January 29, 2013, 11:30 AM - 1:30p.m. Register online here through the Chamber of Commerce.
