Looking for something to do over Spring Break?

 

1. Clark Park Nature Center, April 2, 11a.m. is teaching youngsters all about raptors. Learn about these live birds of prey and what makes them tick.

2. Newcomers' Orientation and Bus Tour April 2, from 9 a.m. to noon, to help you learn more about the installation. Limited free child care is available. For more information and to register, call 907-3507

3. Lake Rim Park wants to help you fly a kite. The event is held on Wed., April 3, from 10a.m. to noon. Materials and instruction provided for $2. Recommended for children age 5 and older with an adult. Bring a sack lunch and stay to picnic and play at the park afterwards.

4. Cape Fear River Trail Golf Cart Tour especially created for the elderly. On Thursday, April 4 at 8a.m. the group can meet in the parking lot. Designed for group or individuals with up to 5 people.

5. Gen Ignite, Manna Church's youth ministry is hosting The Journey: Carpe Diem on Tues. April 2 - Thurs. April 4 from 10a.m. to 4p.m. for middle school and high school students. Bring a sack lunch and have fun participating in workshops, playing crazy games and competitions and small group discussions.
