Fayetteville State University Distinguished Speaker Series

Keynote speaker: Hilda Pinnix-Ragland, Vice President-Corporate Affairs for Duke Energy will be featured during Women’s History Month. This is the final speaker in the series on Tuesday, Mar 12 2:00p J.W. Seabrook Auditorium at Fayetteville State University.

American Red Cross Water Drive

The Highlands Chapter of the American Red Cross is requesting bottled water. A water drive is set for Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Red Cross office, 807 Carol St. in Fayetteville. Water collected will be used for local disaster relief and blood drives. For more information, call 867-8151.

Parents, bring your toddlers out on Thursday, March 14 at 10a.m. for the weekly reading. The featured book: Silly Doggy! by: Adam Stower. Join Lily and her brand new pet, a lost, lovable, and very large bear that she mistakes as a doggy -- as they share a fantastic day together.

Photos with the Easter Rabbit

Fort Bragg's South Post Exchange will take photos until the 30th. Children with special needs can arrange to have their photos taken by scheduling a time between 8:30 and 10 a.m. with bunnycares.com.

CYSS Annual Easter Carnival

Join the fun at Fort Bragg, Saturday, March 16, from 1p.m. to 3 pm. Free and open to the public. Games, face painting and more. Candy hunt begins at 2:45 pm.  (910) 396-5437 at Tolson Youth Activities Center on Reilly Road.
