Duties:

- Participate in the operations, services and activities of the Human Resources Development Department including position management, training, benefits administration, recruitment and selection, and records management.
- Provide responsible staff assistance to the Human Resources Development Department; prepare and present staff reports and other necessary correspondence related to an assigned area.
- Compile, compose, prepare, type and distribute a variety of documents, letters, memorandums, statistical reports, notices and forms including employee and applicant statistics, employment and wage verifications, and unemployment insurance.
- Interpret and explain city personnel policies and procedures to employees and applicants; respond to requests for information and assistance from employees, management staff, outside agencies and the general public.
- Make recommenÂdations for improving the operational efficiency of the Human Resources Development Department; develop and recommend personnel policies and procedures.
- Participate in the analysis of the city's benefit program; prepare, conduct and coordinate information sessions.
