CRIME ALERT: Homicide Detectives Investigate Assault

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are investigating the assault a long distance truck driver.

Wael Wael, 46, of Jacksonville, Florida (this is correct – the first and last names are the same) was found lying on the median on Goldsboro Road and exit 58 North in Cumberland County. 

Detectives were called to the scene early yesterday morning by a passerby who noticed the victim lying on the median according to Public Information Officer, Debbie Tanna.

Wael was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.
