Black History Month Event, Brotherhood/Curriculum Night, and Outstanding Teacher recognition

Special Reception for Top Teachers in the CCS
A special reception will be held on Tuesday, February 26 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. to honor all of CCS’ National Board Certified Teachers (NBCT) as well as recognize the nine newest NBCT recipients and the 13 who recently renewed their certification. The event will take place in the auditorium of the Educational Resource Center. During the reception, several speakers will discuss the impact of having NBCTs on staff, completing the rigorous process, and the value of
receiving the honor. National Board Certification, which is an advanced teaching credential, is achieved upon successful completion of a voluntary assessment program designed to recognize effective and accomplished teachers who meet high standards based on what teachers should know and be able to do. National Board Certification is available nationwide for most PreK–12 teachers.
