It's a Day Off on Monday

Student Holiday/Teacher Workday/Staff Development
The students, faculty and staffs in the Cumberland County Schools will be observing a student holiday/required teacher workday/staff development day on Monday, February 18.

“Spell…zooxanthella!”
Educators throughout the school system will put their spelling skills to the test during the Cumberland County Association of Principals and Assistant Principals’ (CCAPAP) 7th Annual Adult Spelling Bee on Wednesday, February 20 in the cafeteria of South View High School from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Teams of four, who will be representing different schools and departments throughout the county, will work together to spell various words. Organizers of the annual event hope to raise $17,000 toward academic scholarships for deserving high school seniors. Last year, $14,000 in scholarship money was awarded.

Celebrating Black History Month
To commemorate Black History Month, the students, parents, and staff at Reid Ross Classical are presenting art and information exhibits and activities on Thursday, February 21 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
