Double Flag Ceremony to Honor Hope Mills' Cantrell Family
The house fire that took the life of Fort Bragg SF soldier and his two daughters happened just over one year ago.

Last March the tragic story of the Special Forces soldier who died in a house fire trying to save his two young daughters, rocked the community.
Chief Warrant Officer Edward Duane Cantrell will be honored in a double ceremony, along with his two deceased daughters, on Sunday through the organization - Flags For Fallen Military.

Surviving spouse, Louise Cantrell, survived the accident and received an outpouring of support from the Fort Bragg and Fayetteville community over the past year.
The organization and its coordinator, Brian Adams, will present Mrs. Cantrell with a flag that will be flown in her front yard. A pink and purple flag with angels sewn on it was made for Cantrell's daughters.

The double flag ceremony is open to the public on Sunday, April 28 at the Hope Mills Middle School, 4975 Cameron Rd. The event begins at 1:30p.m. for the dedication of the flag pole and flag, leaving for the families home at 2p.m.
