Fayetteville's Luke Edgemon Advances on 'The Voice'
Massey Hill Classical High School grad gets a shot at stardom once again.

Tuesday night Luke Edgemon, a former Fayetteville resident, impressed the judges on 'The Voice'.
Edgemon, 24, performed a rendition of "I Can't Make You Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt that resonated and 'turned the chairs around' for both Usher and Shakira.
Season four of the singing competition based program is judged by diverse artists: Usher, Shakira, Adam Levine (the Maroon Five front man) and Blake Shelton.

This is not Edgemon's first rodeo, as they say. In 2011, he was cast in a role as a Warbler on the high school themed show, "Glee", similar to a 'battle of the bands' between the different choral groups.
Prior to "Glee", Edgemon made it through the ninth season of American Idol where he made it to the Hollywood round.

Before Edgemon left for Los Angeles, he used his vocal talents performing at his dad's church in Fayetteville and was trained by his choir teacher, Mrs. Johnson at Massey Hill Classical High School, where she said he was always a stand-out and she knew he would go on to do great things in music. Edgemon graduated in 2006.
In April of 2011 he dropped into the school while visiting his kid brother for lunch and also performed for Mrs. Johnson's music class where he received a standing ovation.
Before his chance at stardom Edgemon was a barista at Starbucks in Fayetteville, but kept his eye on the goal. And the rest is history.
