Former Longhill Elementary School Teacher Charged, Sex Crimes with 4 Minors

During the investigation more charges have surfaced against the 4th grade school teacher.

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Detectives and Fayetteville City Police have filed additional charges against an inmate who has been held in jail, since September on numerous sex charges involving minors.

Bradley Norman Dent, 47, formerly of 7006 Lamure Drive, Fayetteville was arrested following an investigation that uncovered a string of sexual encounters.  According to investigation reports the encounters allegedly happened during the time he was a teacher at Longhill Elementary School.

On Friday afternoon Dent was charged with statutory sex offense, sexual act with a student and taking indecent liberties with a minor. Dent has now been charged with sex crimes involving four separate victims.

On June 4, 2011 Dent allegedly engaged in a sexual act with a 15-year old.  During that time, Dent was employed at Longhill School where the victim was a member of a study club.

Meanwhile, Dent is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under an additional $300,000 bond.  He is expected to make a first court appearance on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. in the Detention Center Courtroom to face these latest charges.

Dent was a fourth grade teacher at Long Hill Elementary school. He was arrested in September and was placed on suspension from his job with pay.
