MG John W. Nicholson gave remarks and credit to the 247 paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division who gave their lives, and the 1,200 wounded during these wars. He further explained they symbolism of what the scripture on the window, Psalm 46: 6-7 stood for.

The other seven windows inside the chapel represent conflicts and times in the 82nd Airborne's history when they assisted in liberating the oppressed. The latest window reaches high on the left side of the chapel, next to the World War I and World War II windows. The right side windows portray scenes from Vietnam and the Dominican Republic.
