Fort Bragg's Same-Sex Spouse Claims 2 Victories
Ashley Broadway has two reasons to celebrate this weekend.

Last month brought news of the Fort Bragg Officer Spouse's Club denying admission to a same-sex spouse, Ashley Broadway.
On Friday, Jan. 25, Broadway's name was revealed as Fort Bragg's Military Spouse of the Year to represent the Army Branch, alongside other military spouses vying for the title sponsored by Military Spouse Magazine.
Broadway won the title through online voting and will now advance to the Army spouse of the year and military spouse of the year competitions.

As fate would have it, hours after the announcement, Fort Bragg's OSC sent out a statement offering Broadway and other same-sex spouses with certified marriage certificates full membership to the club.
According to a Stars and Stripes news report Broadway said she was βoverjoyedβ to see the club has now included sexual orientation in their non-discrimination clause, and said she will complete her application to become a full member of the club.

βI have further reason to take pride in the Ft. Bragg military community, knowing that we, as military spouses, are able to come together to support each other, our soldiers, and our families,β Broadway said in a written statement.
