Fort Bragg Soldier Injured in Motorcycle Gang Related Crime

Fayetteville police are investigating two motorcycle related attacks from Tuesday to determine if they are related.

Fort Bragg's Matthew John Key, 30, was treated at Womack Army Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries early Tuesday morning.

Key told Fayetteville police that he was shot at by a man and woman in a silver or white four-door sedan, that ran him off the road on his motorcycle. Key is part of the local chapter of the Wingmen motorcycle club.

According to Police Chief Harold Medlock, another motorcycle shooting incident occureed 10 minutes prior killing a member of the Hell's Angel motorcycle club, from the Fayetteville chapter.

"That is truly still under investigation," Medlock said of any connection between the two, in a Fayetteville Observer news report.  "I cannot tell you if they are related or not."
