Homicide Detectives Investigate Death

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of a Fayetteville man. 

Carl Frederick Jones, 58, of 1161 Eden Street, was discovered at approximately 10:30p.m., Saturday evening, inside his burned, single-wide mobile home when firefighters were called to the residence. There were no signs that Jones’ home had any utility services connected according to the Cumberland County Public Information Officer.

Jones’ body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The investigation is continuing.
