Homicide Unit Canvasses Area for Leads

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are searching for leads in two separate death investigations.

The Sheriff’s Command Post will be stationed on the corner of Cumberland Road and Boone Trail on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Detectives hope to gather information about the deaths of Rodriguez Harris and Terrell Boykin. Rodriguez and Boykin were gunned down on Mother Day’s May 8, 2011 outside a mobile home on Donna Street in Fayetteville according to Debbie Tanna, Public Information Officer.

Investigators are also looking for information in reference to the death of Michelle Powell. Her body was found on Kim Street, behind the Boys and Girls Club off Cumberland Road on April 11, 2013.

Anyone who may have information that could help solve these cases are urged to come by the Command Post and talk with Homicide Detectives.
