Hope Mills Heroin Trafficking Ring Busted
Two children were inside the residence during the operation and Cumberland County Sheriff's Officer expects additional arrests.
Cumberland County Bureau of Narcotics Agents have penetrated a heroin trafficking ring in the Hope Mills area.
According to the Cumberland County Public Information Officer, George Williams, Junior, 46, of 3757 Colonial Cove and his live-in girlfriend, Nateshia LaShaun King, 31, were taken into custody Monday afternoon, February 19, 2013.
Multiple count charges against Williams include: trafficking heroin by posession, trafficking by selling, trafficking by delivering, maintaing and dwelling and possession of marijuana. Charges against King include: Trafficking heroin by possession, maintaining and welling and ossession of marijuana.

Surveillance of the pair began in November, 2012 when agents made random heroin purchases from suspects, who are believed to be part of Williams’ and King’s illegal drug sales.Â
Agents and members of the Sheriff’s Special Response Team obtained warrants to search the home where the couple lived. Inside, 13.47 grams of heroin was found stashed in bundles on a child’s bed, according to Debbie Tanna, Cumberland County Sheriff's Office. Another 12.71 grams of heroin was located on the dresser in a bedroom occupied by Williams and King. Agents also located approximately 2.37 grams of marijuana in the home.

King's two children, ages 7 and 12, were living in the home at the time of the drug search and were unharmed.
Williams is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a 585 thousand dollar bond. King is being held in jail under a $50,000 bond.
Agents say the pair is just a few of the suspects being sought in this heroin ring. Additional arrests are forthcoming.
