Salary: $11.41 Hourly
 Job Type: Regular Full-Time

Duties:

• Participate in the repair and maintenance of parks, publicly owned properties, cemeteries, City streets, roads and alleyways.
• Perform grounds maintenance, construction and maintenance tasks such as cemete
• Operate light construction equipment such as tractors, riding mowers, push-mowers, small dump trucks, and various other equipment in support of a variety of maintenance and construction operations.

• Identify equipment needs for each assigned project; transport and deliver equipment from construction sites; maintain equipment.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on light equipment as required.
• Maintain records and logs of all work performed.

 Minimum Qualifications:

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience:

One year of increasingly responsible parks, cemetery, horticulture or street maintenance experience involving the skilled operation of light equipment and maintenance equipment.

Training:

Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.

License or Certification:

Possession of, or ability to obtain within 60 days, an appropriate valid driver's license and maintain insurability.

From the time of closing the hiring process is anticipated to last 3 weeks. The process will consist of a panel interview with the successful candidate being subject to a pre-employment drug screen, background check and driving history check.
