Jr. Fireantz Defeat Pineville Falcons in Shootout, Win the Carolina Hockey League Championships

The Jr.FireAntz end the season in first place with a 10-1-1 record.

The Cape Fear Youth Hockey Association Junior FireAntz Peewee's from Fort Bragg, NC., swept the Carolina Hockey League Ryan Sobiech Memorial League Championship Tournament 4-0, winning the tournament March 10 at Cleland Ice Rink on Fort Bragg.

The Jr. FireAntz Peewee game was a nail biter as they ended their season, defeating the Pineville Falcons Youth Hockey team during the tournament finals in a classic hockey shootout.

During regulation play, the Jr. FireAntz came from behind to tie the game 2-2. Fraught with penalties during overtime, the Jr. FireAntz played the majority of the period with only three players.  The Jr. FireAntz battled through overtime keeping the Falcons from scoring, finally winning the game during a shootout
