Summer Day Camp
Locations: Cliffdale Recreation Center, College Lakes Recreation Center, Eastover-Central Recreation Center, *E.E. Miller Recreation Center, Gray's Creek Recreation Center, Kiwanis Recreation Center, Lake Rim Recreation Center, Pine Forest Recreation Center, Smith Recreation Center, Stedman Recreation Center, Stoney Point Recreation Center and Westover Recreation Center
Summer Day Camp allows participants to experience a summer of organized adventure and fun consisting of activities, crafts, games, and off-site field trips. The program meets on weekdays from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and is Designed for children who have completed Kindergarten through 12 years old. Registration begins April 1. All in town field trips are included with registration fees. No camp on July 4.

*E.E. Miller Recreation Center will offer Summer Camp June 11-July 12.

Summer Playground Camp
Locations: Massey Hill Recreation Center and Spivey Recreation Center
Summer Playground allows participants to experience a summer of organized adventure and fun consisting of activities, crafts, games, and off-site field trips. The program meets on weekdays from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and is designed for children who have completed Kindergarten through 12 years old. Registration begins April 1. Participants are responsible for all field trip fees. No camp on July 4.

Summer Camp Optional Trips
Again this summer, FCPR will be supplementing our summer program with optional trips to provide
participants with additional entertainment. There will be one trip per week to an out of town destination. Lunch, transportation and activity fees are included. There will be at least a 1:15 ratio of staff per participants. Participants must be registered in the summer camp or playground programs to participate in optional trips. Participants must provide transportation to departure points. Space is limited. Registration begins April 1.

Outdoor Adventure Summer Camp (Clark Park)
Summer Camp at Clark Park includes archery, hiking, orienteering, live raptors, fishing, animal tracking, outdoor living skills, treasure hunt, and a pontoon boat ride down the Cape Fear River or kayaking and more with park rangers. Space is limited; early registration is suggested. Registration must be made in person at Clark Park. This camp is partially funded by the Cumberland Community Foundation, Inc. Summertime Kids Grant.
8-10 yrs; Session 1: Mon., June 17-Fri., June 21; Session II: Mon., July 22-Fri., July 26; 8:30 am-noon; $50/person per session

Growing Up Wild Summer Camp (Clark Park)
This camp is design for younger children who love to play. But, play is more than just fun and games-it is vitally important for children's healthy development. The activities in this camp are designed to help these young children explore and learn about nature. Registration must be made in person at Clark Park.
5-7 yrs; Tues., June 11-Thurs., June 13; 9 am-noon; $30
Teenager Adventure Day Camp (Clark Park)
Out of school and nothing to do? Spend it with us and fill your day with adventure, laughs and excitement with other teenagers. We will start the day off with archery, then paddle canoes on Rhodes Pond and finish up with a high tech treasure hunt using a GPS. All equipment is provided. No experience necessary. Bring your own snacks, lunch and water. Register at Clark Park Nature Center. Space is limited.
13-17 yrs; Tues., July 2; 9 am-5 pm; $30
Tiny Trailblazers (Mazarick Park)
Dinosaurs are the main theme of this camp. Campers will discover dinosaurs through activities like story time, games, crafts, and fossil digs. Register early, space is limited.

Summer Adventures Camp (Lake Rim Park)
Campers will develop outdoor adventure skills like orienteering, kayaking,       fishing, archery and rock climbing. Your child will learn about nature and explore the environment while having fun and building confidence.
9-13 yrs; Mon.-Fri.; 9 am-noon; $35 + entrance fee paid to rock climbing gym

Teen Adventures Camp (Lake Rim Park)
This camp will introduce teenagers to a variety of outdoor activities. Archery, kayaking, sailing, and surfing are all on the agenda. Most of the day will be spent outside doing physically demanding activities, participants must be able to function physically, cognitively, and behaviorally in a manner that supports everyone's safety. Campers will be traveling to out-of-town locations. Registration is required at Lake Rim Park by May 22.
14-17 yrs; Mon., June 24-Thurs., June 27; $160
Teen Adventure Camp Bonus Rafting Trip (Lake Rim Park)
Campers who participated in the Teen Adventure Camp and their parents are invited to the National Whitewater Center in Charlotte. Price includes transportation and All Sport Day Pass. Registration is required at Lake Rim Park by May 22.

Methodist University
Methodist University Summer Jam: July 8-13, 2013 (formerly ... to make music in their own choir—a great introduction to the overall camp experience! ... Please contact the Fayetteville Kiwanis Club for more information on this yearly tradition.
Costs :
Residential Camp (Ages 11-18): The total fee is $410.00 per camper, which includes housing, meals, daily classes, concerts, activities, insurance, and the MusiCamp T-Shirt. Private lessons are available at an additional cost of $30.00 per 45-minute lesson.
Campers will be housed in air-conditioned residence halls with two-room suites, an open lounge area, an ice machine, drink and snack machines, and laundry facilities.
Day Camp (Ages 11-18): The total fee is $275 per camper. Campers will be provided with lunch, and they will also perform in the grand finale concert on Saturday morning.
Mini Jam (Ages 9-10): The total fee is $75 per camper. The Mini Jam is a special elementary choir offering only offered during the day (no meals included). This group is scheduled to perform in the grand finale on Saturday morning.
Mini Jam runs from 9:00am - 11:45am. Drop-off time is 8:40am, and pick-up time will be from 11:45am - 12:00 noon.
All Campers: A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is due by June 15, 2013. Payment in full is due for Mini-Jam on July 2, 2013. Checks should be made payable to "MU Summer Jam 2013."
Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, Youth String Chamber Music Festival
Monday, July 29 - Friday, August 2, 2013 8:30a.m. to 2:30p.m.
The festival is open to students who have just completed 7th grade through
graduating  high school seniors.  Students should have completed three years of orchestra or at least two years of private study. Placement in chamber groups will be determined by audition. Auditions will take place on Friday, June 21st. If a student is unavailable on that date, a recorded audition must be submitted by Monday, June 17th
