Meet the Police Chief Finalists
Both candidates shared their views, experience and family backgrounds.
During Tuesday's round of visits to public meetings, the two perspective police chief candidates answered questions from local citizens.
Harlold Medlock comes from the Charlotte-Mecklenberg Police Department. He has been married for 31 years (to the same woman, he jokingly added) but has not been blessed with childen. As a graduate of Pfeiffer University, his degree is in criminal justice with a master's in business administration.
Medlock is the son of a baptist preacher, and he joked that he can still get in front of a crowd on his soapbox.

Malik Aziz has served the Dallas Police Department for almost 20 years. He is a single father of two older children. He comes from a family of public servants, all from the Dallas area.
